I have been a member and volunteered for the professional organization IAHPERD (Illinois Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance) since my senior year in college.
I was elected as Vice President of Children in 1997 and continued to volunteer and run Audio/Visual needs at every convention and conference. I continue to run the A/V but also maintain the organization's website, and now I am a convention manager in charge of setup. I also put together the brochure for the convention which brings nearly 3,000 annually.
